no further comments about these wonderful pieces? Have all Samplemodeling customers become shy? Giorgio

Very well done, Erik. We are very happy that you could get these results in just one week. Giorgio & Peter.

Hi Ben H, and MSchnell, Kontakt based, sample-modeled based, like the Brass. New, proprietary technology for the Ensembles. Like no one else. :-) Giorgio
-
Thank you very much, dear Samplemodeling friends. Please accept our best wishes for a happy new year, harbinger of fantastic instruments. Giorgio

Michael, controlling the timbral shaper with CCs is straightforward. Just select the harmonic, or group of harmonics, on which you want to operate by slightly displacing the bar from the centerline. Then CC91, and (if more than one harmonic o…

Michael, while in BC mode, you might consider using the expression rescaler to get a softer, smoother attack. You might also set CC25 to some value higher than zero. This will create a smooth ramp between the note-on velocity and the curr…

Mickeyrouse, the bar graph is used to select the harmonics (or groups of harmonics) to act upon. The knobs, and the associated CCs 91-93 are used to modify their relative intensities. Please refer to pages 16-17 of the Trumpet 3 Manual: …

Yes, we're alive, and working hard, Michael. But we have a scale of priorities. And we're going to respect them. It will take time, but these minor bugs, or limitations, will be fixed, rest assured, Giorgio

You are right guys, it's very quiet since we're working like mads. However, after finding this thread in KVR's forum I felt that an honest clarification was appropriate. Here's the link and the text of our reply: https://www.kvraudio…

No title could be more appropriate ;-) Thanks, ModernBard. Giorgio & Peter

Interestingly enough, this issue is present since the very first release of version 3 of all our Brass. They behave exactly in the same manner in Kontakt 4. Nobody reported it so far ;-) It's definitely not related to Kontakt, my mistake. …

Thanks John, you perfectly nailed down the issue. As you know, in BC mode, a note is triggered when CC2 overcomes a certain threshold (about 9). When it falls below the threshold a note-off is issued. If the key is still pressed and the t…

Hi all. Can you first verify that retriggering, i.e. playing a note, overlapping another note (legato), releasing this second note and therefore coming back to the sound of the first note, is indeed working in BC mode with the Trumpet3, or Trom…
-
Of course in WC mode, triggering a note will occur by pressing a key, rather than when CC2 overcomes a threshold value. We will immediately contact Native Instruments for a fix. Giorgio
-
It seems to be due to the last Kontakt 5.7.1 update. Retriggering is no longer working in BC mode. Could you please try WC mode as a provisional workaround. Giorgio

Thanks, vesidrag :-) Giorgio

Bruno, We believe that neither a 'constant speed' nor a 'constant time' mode would be suitable for mimicking the portamento pattern of the real instrument. Before releasing all our instruments, whether Kontakt or SWAM-based, we did a thoro…
