Very nice! I get Danny Elfman vibes from the beginning. Sounds great.

Thanks! I used a breath controller for some of it, particularly in the first half. But I find it hard to get exactly the "performance" I want playing in real time with a breath controller and keyboard. So I do a lot of editing of the contr…

Nice! The strings and brass add some really nice dimension to the sound. Great guitar and drums performances too!

Sounds great!

@ModernBard: Glad you liked the trumpet solo! It took me a while to get that right. I was blocked for over a month on everything after 2:41. I kept trying stuff and discarding it, over and over. It either didn't fit the mood, or sounded too fake or …

Very nice. Well played!

Very nice, Kobi! (I almost asked which guitar vst you used. You never know nowadays!) Jon

Cool. I like the wah wah effect.

Very nice, Slava! Your contributions enhance every piece beautifully. Well played.

For now, I've increased the reverb on the drums, and updated the track on SoundCloud. @MSchnell, please let me know how it sounds to you now.

Thanks. I thought the demos sounded decent, but I'll definitely take that into consideration. I'm also taking a look at EZDrummer, which has a jazz expansion pack. It includes brushes, but I'm not finding much in the way of demo songs that use …

Interesting. I'll have to check that out. Do you know if they have a brush option? I've been eyeing Vienna Jazz Drums, although that seems to require a hardware dongle which would be annoying for me, since I often work on my tunes on-the-go.

Thanks Michael! I agree about the drums sounding a little too "studio" for a live recording. I tried playing with the reverb on those to see if I could improve it but ultimately settled for what you hear. That's the drawback to using the"stock inst…

Nice! I'd never guess it wasn't the original.

Very cool! Sounds exciting!

Thanks Larry! I'm very impressed with your own offerings on Sound Cloud. Great stuff.

Thank you sir! I'm certainly no expert - I'm still learning how to make the most of these instruments, while also challenging myself to compose music that I'd actually want to listen to. :-) I use a keyboard with a TEC Breath & Bite Control…

Thanks for the feedback guys. I updated the track with a few minor tweaks. I also adjusted the reverb just a bit. It still has that nightclub sound, only a little less muffled (like maybe you're sitting a bit closer to the stage ). I also …

Thanks! Feedback noted. I'll play around with the reverb.

Wow, that's great. Very adventurous indeed!

Wow, that's really beautiful. Great sounding instruments, and really nice arrangement too!
