Installing the older instruments

edited December 2013 in General Questions
I'm just building a new system, with Win7 64bit, and have got round to putting samples on it. I'm a bit concerned about using the old installers for the Kontakt-based stuff, as I know they used to install a version of Kontakt player 2. It's possible to un-tick the player, so it doesn't install, but it still leaves an empty link in your program list, and I'm a bit of a neat freak.

Is it possible to use the install on one machine, then copy the extracted content to another, and force Kontakt to 'install' it through the libraries tab, by finding the inf file? I'm thinking the serial number has to be entered at the start of the install, so I'm guessing there may be registry entries on that machine, which wouldn't be on the one I take the content to. Has anyone tried it?

If that were the case, and I still try to point the library tab at the inf file, would it let me put in the serial number at that stage?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
