Credible orchestral piece using MIR PRO
Hi guys !
Here's a short piece (work in progress) using all of the sample modeling instruments in an orchestral context. (Mixed with VSL MIR PRO, in the teldex studio).
The main goal was to achieve a believable sound with these marvelous but anechoic sample modeling sounds, without stacking any other libraries (I hate stacking libraries. Feels wrong to me ^^).
I really think that MIR PRO does the job like nothing else. I've met some composers who do not like the sound of sample modeling instruments. I'm pretty sure that's only because they're used to wet libraries, and don't know how to mix supa dry stuff correctly.
As for the music itself, not everything's in place right now, but i'm working on it ^^.
not sample modeling Instruments used:
Pianoteq (piano, celesta, glockenspiel...)
VSL Dimension strings.
VSL instruments for the rest (flutes, oboes, english horn bassoons...).
