CC11 not received & learn CC automation

Each instrument in Kontakt keeps giving me the message "CC11 not received yet. Instrument will not work properly", but it says that it's mapped to dynamics. It's in Keyboard mode and I have a Numa Nero with two pedals (sustain & exp) plugged in and they are working with other non-Sample Modeling Kontakt instruments. Also, in the interface of the other plug-ins, I can right-click and get the "Learn MIDI CC Automation" option, but not with the Sample Modeling instruments. Shouldn't I be able to? That's the way I'm used to doing it. If not, how do you map settings to MIDI controls? Can someone please explain?

I'm on a Mac running OS 10.6.8 and using Kontakt 4.2.4 in Ableton Live 8.2.1.

Thanks.

    herbiewonder,

if this warning does not disappear, there is no doubt that no CC11 - or other expression controll (CC2) is reaching the instrument. It´s difficult to say why, without knowing everything about your setup. But apparently you do not send CC11 to the instrument. Maybe it´s CC7 (Volume)? If so, it´s necessary to remap it using the remapper in the instrument menu. Are you absolutely sure that your MIDI hardware sends CC11? If so, please record a short MIDI sequence and have a look at the tracks... Is there a track with some CC11 data? If so - please send it to our support. If not, I am afraid you will have to check the settings of your hardware or your host and find out how to assign your expression data to CC11 or CC2. Please check also if the MIDI channel setting in the instrument corresponds to the MIDI channel set in the host.

By the way - if you have the full version of Kontakt, please load the factory script "MIDI Monitor" (open an empty instrument, go to the script editor and open the preset: factory -> utilities -> MIDI Monitor). This utility will show you which CC data is reaching the Kontakt software. Does it show CC11 when you move the pedal? If it does not, I am afraid you will have to refer to the manual of your MIDI hardware. If it does, please send us the MIDI sequence, as described above.

    Regards
