I would check, if the controller is set up right and if no controler interfers with it. Besides: I sometimes have to wait some ms, until the mute CC really works ... some kind of a minimal lag, like it seems. But not too much so that the mutes can be changed as quickly as needed ... on my side at least. Sorry, if I cannot help you much more.
  • yea I'm thinking it's not the controler it's having to do with where the samples are stored. I need a map of where stuff is supposed to be on a Mac for everything to work

    I'm having the same problem.

I used the Trumpet (and the Harmon mute) successfully, a couple of years ago. I haven't needed this instrument since then, but I need it today -- yet, unfortunately, no matter what controllers I send, even though the interface *shows* that the instrument is switching to Harmon mute, the plug-in continues to play the *normal* trumpet.

This is occurring on two, different computers: Both (a) my main machine, and (b) a 2nd machine on which I load additional instruments using Vienna Ensemble Pro. I actually started with the VE Pro machine, and when the mutes weren't working, I loaded the trumpet on my main machine -- only to discover the same behavior.

I realize this thread is a couple of years old, but Tom, did you ever resolve this issue?

Regardless, Samplemodeling guys, what's going on, here?

    Machine 1:

    Yosemite 10.10.2

    Digital Performer 8

    The Trumpet 2.52

    Machine 2:

    Mavericks 10.9.5

    Vienna Ensemble Pro 5.4.1

    The Trumpet 2.52

UPDATE: I found the solution in this older thread:

(I had to reinstall and re-add to Kontakt.)
