4 bar ska riff

i'm trying to remake this horn line from a band i used to play in. the second link is the horns i remade with the trumpet, the trombone and the sax. any tips or suggestions to make it more accurate and better?

    The main things I noticed on your second link were that the sforzando of the originals wasn't really there, or maybe was just slowed down greatly, in your remake, and also that the remake sounded much more smooth and organ-like. On the former, I think making the attack harder and the crescendo faster might help. On the latter, I wonder if you are using the same MIDI line for all three instruments, rather than playing them individually to get more variation like real players would have? Beyond that, I think maybe it is just getting more variation in general be it with wind pressure (or the expression pedal if you're not using a wind controller) and maybe some other enhancements (e.g. vibrato, growl, air noise, etc.).



    Also, one other thing I noticed was the horn parts on the first recording had some delay (and probably reverb) that really added to how they sat in the track and sounded overall.
