The Trumpet as a producing tool - and a little contest ...

edited January 2011 in User demos
Happy new year to all!

Some time ago I had the opportunity to work with an european big band who featured jerry bergonzi and his rhythm section; I was commissioned to score one of jerry's originals.

One of the gigs was recorded to 48 track, and I managed to get hands on the raw tracks, so I could mix my arrangement on my own.

This gave me the opportunity to "repair" some flaws in the lead-trumpet part, and this is where The Trumpet comes in. It’s only a few spots - sometimes a short phrase, sometimes I even X-faded during a long note to keep more of the original player. I used the same reverb/EQ/panning settings for the virtual Trumpet as for the real lead trumpet track.

The Song is called "Sound Advice" and you can find it on my MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/559054761

The first of you who can tell how often and where "The Trumpet" is used to replace the original recording wins a 15€ iTunes voucher.

Send your guess as a private message via this forum with the time-code (mm:ss) for each spot you think the fake-trumpet comes in

Good luck,

Jan
