middle eastern style
its a nightmare to try this style due to "shy" portamento transitions, i believe it would be a great option if somehow you could give us a control over the portamento's level attack envelope and i have noticed that the beginning of portamento glissando slides have only the fundamental tone with like 3 harmonics so it sounds like a lowpass filter is gradually opening on them, and pitch bend range cant be more than 3st on keyboard but it can be higher on wind controllers doesnt make any sense to me honestly, a 12 pitch bend range will at least allow us to sculpt our own portamentos/glissandos however we want. thank you

What instrument are you referring to ?
I use the "Violin" with a Seaboard and set it to do the correct MPE-pitchbend, so that I can slide to anothger node plus or minus an octave and when hitting the new key at the same point I get the correct (i.e. the same) pitch.

not every DAW supports MPE since its a niche thing, so in this case ill have to use the pitch bend however, the pitch bend range is limited to 3st max unless using the wind controller and ofc wind controllers are also a niche thing to have, i only use the keyboard and correct what i record in the piano roll and automate the needed parameters, hopefully there is no harm in allowing us to have an increased range in the pitch bend and also not to forget about the portamento, its as i said earlier a little bit shy sounding, so its not very helpful in the style i attached in the above discussion, thank you and i can't wait for the next update, for now i will have to steal the SWAM's portamento.. :D
MPE is not really involved here, and I just stated it as an example showing that large Pitchbend range is possible at least with the Violin (but I don't think that there is any difference between the different strings on that behalf).
I here in fact don't "use" a DAW regarding MPE, I just use Reaper as a host for multiple plugins for live playing.
If you in fact are talking about the Strings there in fact are (at least) two settings that influence the portamento width. I remember having had some trouble to find them when I set up my project.
