Problem: hanging notes in sub groups in ensembles

Hi! I've recently bought Solo and ensemble strings, and was very excited to try it out. I have a problem, though. When I use the ensembles I have a problem with hanging notes in the sub groups of the ensembles. I can play a couple of notes, and suddenly a note hangs in one of the ensembles. It seems to be the ones in the lower groups that hangs, and it ruins the performance of what I'm playing, disturbing the legato and so on. This does not happen on the solo instruments, and not in other sample instruments I have, only on ensembles in SM. I am using a Studiologic numa compact 2X as a keyboard midi controller as well as a Techcontroller BBC2 as breath controller for CC11, and I activate Breath controller mode in SM, and my DAW is Logic, running SM through the latest Kontakt full version. What is the problem? How do I fix it?

  • SOLVED (i think). Tried to use Sibelius now, and god a double note for every note I entered with my keyboard. This made me think it was a problem with my keyboard as it is both a keyboard for live performance and a midi keyboard (the keyboard is still new to me, got it about two weeks ago). After a little google'ing I found people with similar problems in Sibelius, I turned my keyboard to "midi" in stead of "sound", and presto, it works perfectly.

  • Happy that you could sort it out :-)
