[solved] Strings pitch controller in v1.2

Hey there,

first of all: thanks for the new update. Good to see the product being updated. <3

I have a question regarding the pitch wheel. Seems like in version v1.2 the pitch wheel has no effect. No I am wondering: was it the same in v1.1 and before and I somehow linked the pitch wheel manually or am I missing something else here?

Thanks for your help!

Best,

Manu

Edit:

Nevermind: I just found out that you know have to enbable Pitchband mapping so that the pitch wheel has an effect on the pitch. In v1.1 you did not have to enable it, though. Don't know if I am doing it right, but now my pitch wheel works on the strings again, at least. (=

  • I did not yet install v1.2

    Pitchbend might be an issue for me, as I use it with a Seaboard, and here the pitch bend needs to feature a very exact range, as you can reach the same point in the "keywave" by hitting another key (new note-on) and by skiding your finger (resulting in pitchbend).

  • As I already wrote: it seems to react the same. Only thing I had to do is to enable it (which I hadn't in the previous versions).

  • Tagirijus,

    Due to a coding error, the instruments in the default state do not respond to pitchbend. The solution you applied is a quick and effective workaround. Thanks for reporting this. A fix will be available soon.

  • Oh okay, glad I could help. Thanks for fixing. (=

  • Could someone describe in detail how to do this? When I google "Kontact pitch bend" the instructions don't correspond to what I'm seeing on my screen. When I click on the "gear sprocket" I do not get the full edit window and instead get some small dialog with only a few options that are not relevant to pitch bend.

  • With pitchband mapping I refer to the pitchband mapping (the "enable" button) in the Samplemodeling instrument. Not really a Kontakt specific thing, so don't misunderstand me here. (-;

  • Ah. Thank you. I've been looking in the wrong place.
