Violins 1 ensemble staccato weird noise

When playing staccato notes in full dynamic in the first violins ensemble (did not check the solo violin yet) from the F#5 and above (or f#'' and above) there is some kind of nearly "clicky" noise. I suppose it should be the bow noise, but when turning the bow noise down with the controller, the clicky noise is still there. It is very subtle, but makes the violins staccato in this register sound a bit weird. It's not that "obvious" in the second violins though! Or am I missing a controller to adjust this sound as well somewhere?

Thanks for your help!

  • Tagirijus,

according to your (unambiguous) classical pitch naming (f#") you mean F# one octave above the middle C ("Middle C" = midi note number 60), correct? Please contact our support and provide some further information, e.g.:

    - does it occur at ANY velocity?

    - if not - above which does it happen? How about reducing the velocity?

    - please provide an audio example comparing the presence of this problem in the Violins I, and absence in Violins II (the way the attacks are treated in both ensembles is exactly the same, so the reason for the difference you report must be clarified).

    Thank you!

By the way, the future free update we are working on will introduce new attack behavior of the violins (among others), so most likely your problem will disappear anyway. ;-)

  • Hi Peter! Thanks for your reply. I will contact the support then and I will explain the issue with some examples, no problem! :)
