Random pitch fluctuation problem

Hi folks -

Anyone else experiencing a thing where the strings go sharp or flat as an ensemble for a moment? I'm sequencing in Pro Tools 2019.6. Load SM Strings into VEPro, a single ensemble instance of violins 1, say, and I'm playing and then all of a sudden it's sharp by many cents. Controlling with breath controller. No pitch to dynamics. beyond the realm of what one might set up - often near a quarter-tone. No other instruments I own are doing this. It makes the library unusable for me at the moment as I'm working under a deadline and have to use something else. Thoughts?

  • Justthere,

is CC13 outputted from your breath controller? There is a bug in the present instruments, so that CC12, CC13, CC17 (controllers for internal use only) are not properly shielded from the external world. So, if your BC is mapped to CC13, pitch fluctuations will occur. If this is the case, remapping this CC13 to another one would completely avoid this problem. This bug has been spotted and will be fixed in the next release.

    Best,
