Unwanted effect (sound change) by using a midi-pedal
I want to use a midi pedal (Shortboard Line6) to control some actions in my DAW.
I use undefined midi-CC-signals for exemple to change tracks and instruments.
Since doing that, the Sample-modeling-instruments are working not right any more.
There is a rough, distorted, growl (?) sound coming out of the monitors, only by the Sample-modeling instruments, not at other softsynths...
- Mr Sax T (Kontakt)
- Swam: Baritone Sax / Baritone clarinet.
I think, there is perhaps a midi-signal getting in conflict with the midi-signals concerning the sample-modeling-instruments, but I do not know which CC-signals these could be.
I use...
Midi CC:
3,9, 14-15, 20-24, 85, 102-107

What DAW are you using ?
There should be a way to display the Midi Data that are sent to the plugin.

Are multiple instruments active at the same time, and just their output not mixed in the audio sum ? If so, maybe the CPU performance is not sufficient.
Could it be that the midi signals that reach the plugin force very fast parameter changes to and fro ? This should be made visible by a midi monitor tool.

On SWAM instruments MIDI CC 1, 5, 8, 9, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 31, 64 (in addiction to CC2 or CC11 for the Expression) are assigned by default to some parameters, including Growl, SubHarmonics, Flutter.
Please check the "MIDI mapping" page from the "Options" page.

Of course he can change the CCs SWAM is adhering to to different ones or to "not mapped".

That was the problem. I used other CC-signals in my pedal - and now, it works. Thank you for your answers!
