NI WHAT GIVES???

edited June 2009 in General Questions
Thought I'd look to see whats going on at NI instruments and its all new!!! Don't see any of the old libraries such as Mr Sax T. Don't see any mention of the Kontakt 2 player and a searching for it gets a broken link!!!!

Theres a free Kore player, with free sounds that can have further libraries added!!! I looked at the "saxes and Brass" and it is Chris hein!!! Not good for windcontrollers!!!!

Don't know what to think. Bit aprehensive about the Alto sax now!!!!

Whats happening please?????

Regards Pete.

    Dear pgill,

there is really no need to be worried - neither about Mr. Sax A., nor Mr. Sax B.! :-)

They are (for more than 2 weeks allready) at Native Instruments to be encoded as the new Kontakt Player 3.5 instruments. As soon as NI is ready - including thorough testing - the instruments will be available for download.

We will post further details these days - maybe even tomorrow.

GOOOOOD!!! I was worried because I have sax samples on my Gem Genesys that like Chris Hein samples are excellent until you want to play them, then the constant breathy, sexy, sax becomes unbelievable and wrecks anything over a BPM of 120 and dares to cross an octave!!!

Roll on Mr Sax A, (I've never used baritone, but you never know ;) )

The Chris hein (Kore) samples are apparently wind friendly, however I noted Chris Hein himself on the KVR Forum said they were only limited examples which "Kore" had scripted. I also caught a Youtube example and I think you have more competition from the "Aria" saxes
