Stunning Demos!

edited March 2008 in General Questions
I will definitely purchase "The Trumpet" as soon as it's available! I've been a trumpet player for over 40 years and a breath controller user since the Steiner analog breath controller came out in the early 1980's. Man I'm old! My controller of choice is now a BC3 with a Yamaha Motif 8. I was pleased to receive fast email replies from Giorgio & Peter before this forum was created. The demos are amazing! I'd love to hear some featuring the flugelhorn & cornet. Please create a sax library so I can sell my VL-1m ! :D

  • Thanks Perry.

Flugenhorn demos will certainly follow. You may have recognised the Piccolo Trumpet in the Brandeburg Concert n.2 by Fabio Vicentini.

I'm sometimes using the BC3 to drive CC11, as does Roberto Soggetti. While not really necessary to get excellent results, it is an interesting alternative to the expression pedal.

    Best,

Great stuff. Many useful articulations and effects, but the rapid transitions from legato to staccato and use of portamento were particularly impressive. I would love to have an idea of how difficult it is to program performances of this complexity. (i.e. How close to real-time can these be performed and how much editing was required to make it sound musical.)

One other thing: the baroque ensemble accompaniment also sounded excellent. If THAT was samples, I'm doubly impressed.

I'm 90% sure the Orchestra was VSL, at least the ones by Fabio. :D
