Advice on buying a breath controller

edited May 2009 in Windcontrollers
Hi,

I'm looking into ways to play The Trumpet and Mr T Sax more 'naturally' and get results quicker and I was advised to get a breath controller.

Can anyone recommend a good model to go with and let me know if any caveats I should be aware of when buying one - i.e. does it make all that much of a difference? What is a reasonable price? And can I use it with any keyboard (I'm using an M-Audio Keystation pro at the moment).

This is the one I had in mind:

Thanks,

    Hi Georgio,

I assume I can just plug it into the expression pedal input on my M-Audio Keystation Pro? Or will I need an adaptor?

    Thanks,

    hi,

Or there is a box existing to plug a BC3 with it's jack and convert BC3 proportionnals electric informations into midi message.

It's a solution to adapt BC3 to any KB or to any midi configuration.

Yes i almost forgot this one

but the bill increases of 159 € !

    For a 60 € accessorie it's quit expensive

For the same price you can have a second hand CME UF6 keyboard with 8 sliders + 8 knobs at the same time...

    Indeed :

65 € for the BC (the 90 € of your link is too expensive) + 160 € for the keyboard or the box = 225 €

    vs

An USB EWI : 339 € in thomann + the time to learn how to use it.
