Using control codes

edited December 2016 in General Questions
I'm using Trumpet 3 as a plugin in Pro Tools, sequencing by direct entry method. I am entering control codes into the MIDI events list, particularly the all-important CC 11, yet nothing is happening. I get a marcato-type articulation, but neither CC 11 nor anything else

have any effect.

What else should I be doing?

Have discovered that in Pro Tools the Expression control lane triggers CC11. Now I'm getting usable trumpet sound.

    Next question:

Are the other important CC's triggered in some other control lanes, or are they triggered as notes above or below the usable range of the instrument?

Please read the documentation of the plugin and the DAW you use.

Regarding the instrument there are (AFAIK, I don't have the Trumpet) as well multiple CCs that influence the performance, as multiple key switches (usually below the instrument's playing range) that introduce several effects.

I don't know if any ProTools users are out here, so for ProTool questions you'd better ask in an appropriately dedicated forum.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
