Midi Sequencing and The Trumpet

edited February 2009 in General Questions
Hello,

I was wondering if any of you could give me a hint in regards to midi-editing.

Say I recorded a passage of The Trumpet in Logic 8. I now see the notes I recorded (pitch, velocity, length) in the Midi-Editor/Piano Roll. What I don´t see are the dozens of commands the event list displays that happen between these notes (all the scripting information that makes The Trumpet sound so real, I assume). So when I move around a note or passage, that vital scripting information doesn´t tag along, and the notes in the new position sound completely out of whack. Any suggestions on how to edit The Trumpet and keep the original sound intact?

Thanks!

boogieman.

    Hello,

I do not know what you mean by :
So when I move around a note or passage, that vital scripting information doesn´t tag along, and the notes in the new position sound completely out of whack

Just to tell you that the scripting are internal to Kontak player motor engine so :

1/ it's normal you do not see anything in logic

2/ if you change a note (post editing) it has to sound correctly as the kontakt player will act exactly as if you would play it live.

Can you give audio file example of before and after post editing of what you consider whack ?

    Regards

    Hello Valère,

thanks for your insight. I´m new to Logic, so I might as well be making some kind of mistake I´m not aware of that has nothing to do with the Trumpet itself when editing Midi. I´ll play around more with this and try to find out what I´m doing wrong.

    Best regards, boogieman.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
