MDT

edited January 2009 in General Questions
So is anyone using The Trumpet with the Morrison Digital Trumpet? Mine arrived yesterday and it is quite a hoot to be playing a virtual trumpet on a digital trumpet, using good-old trumpet fingerings. Sure, you might say, "get a trumpet", but I'm playing an "analog" euphonium for the "real" brass sound, and the MDT is here to play with this software and the various collections of patches on my VL-70m.

If there's another MDT user out there I'd be anxious to hear about tips/tricks/tweaks... but it sounds mighty fine right out of the box with The Trumpet set to "wind controller" with no other adjustments.

Still waiting for our genius developers to craft "The Cello" to supplement the library... thought I'd put a plug in for my wish list while I was typing away.

Regards,

Pat

    Pat,

Glad to hear you have the MDT and The Trumpet.

You will love them both. I've been playing the MDT for

a couple of years now and wouldn't give it up for any amount of money. I just aquired The Trumpet about 2 months ago and it is awsome. I've gone back and re-recorded all my previous trumpet pieces with this new soft synth. Working on a CD now called Praise Him With The Trumpet. I still use my VL70m for other instruments and brass section parts but my main emphasis is The Trumpet. We all are anxious to have you post some of your work with your new instrument.
