Bizarre problem

I installed the sax and started playing with it. After about quarter of an hour it suddenly became non-responsive to the mouse - I stopped being able to change things such as whether I got growl or subharmonics etc, and couldn't even remove the sax from the Kontakt Player. The sax still responded to MIDI information, but eventually this stopped too.



The next time I played with it it did the same thing - except that this time it was coupled with a bizarre problem that I'm having with my BC. My CME UF8 keyboard seems to initially ignore my BC, then suddenly notices it, for no obvious reason, after about half an hour. The instant when it suddenly noticed the breath controller seemed to be the same moment that the sax seized up.



The Trumpet, Strad, Gofriller and other K PLayer instruments aren't demonstrating the same behaviour, so I can only assume it's not the player itself.



Is anyone else having similar problems? Am I missing something?

Now I'm wondering if it's a cc64 issue. I've just played for some time with the B.C. with no problem. But then I used a pedal to switch on the growl, and things stuck.



Not only do the drop-down menus become unresponsive, but the volume level display sticks around half way - even though no note is playing. I'm using the GPP-3 pedal set, where the sustain pedal is continuous, rather than being a switch. Could that be a problem?

CC64 should only be used with a switch-type pedal.



Conversely, a continuous controller assigned to CC64 yields a continuous, high frequency GUI update, which may overload the instrument.



The correct approach is to assign a continuous controller to CC20, to control the subharmonic, or to CC21, to control the growl. This should work without problems.
