Some muted laid-back groove

edited December 2008 in User demos
Hello,

first of all congratulations for this fantastic product. I got my download-link some hours ago, and went in my studio at once to make sound. This is the result of about one hour, except the playback, which was already done a few days ago. I played a Saxophone melody with my new BC3-Breath Controller and was stunned by the musicality and frightened by the sound-quality of the samples (I think it was Garritan Jazz & Big Band).

The trumpet is the first take I made after playing around, and getting used to the controls. I like the muted sounds, so this is the harmonic mute with heavy compression and some EQ to get an closemiked-sound. I also wanted to check out the lower velocity-layers, because most of the demos are very loud played.

I hope, you enjoy it.

Greets,

Christoph

Chris - great job on this piece! Love the overall feel! I'm sure there will be much more where that came from. The tenor sax is out now (and not too expensive) which would give you (and us) a bit more variety in instruments. Tempting!

You really succeeded to give the atmosphere you wanted. I like it ;)
