Amazing, as always, Dan! -Perry-

I have all the SM stuff. I owned a Yamaha VL-1 that I had to sell years ago. I never thought there would be a worthy replacement but yeah, all the stuff from SM is beautifully expressive! +1 for a successor to the Stradivari & Gofriller. 8…

Wow Dan! All your pieces are so well done. Very clever song title, too. Thanks for sharing! Inspirational stuff. -Perry-

Inspirational! -Perry-

Ha! I guess I could track it at half tempo...maybe. -Perry-

I usually freeze tracks myself...I was only saying there is no poly-mode within a single instance of SWAM or the Kontakt SM instruments. Some of the Kontakt SM instruments do offer a "Unison mode"

As a former trumpet player in a cover band that played a lot of TOP, I have to say that sounds great! -Perry-

You have to play parts in, one at a time. There is no poly-mode in Sample Modeling instruments.

Love the brass work! -Perry-

Voxengo Voxformer. I've been happy with the saturation part of that plugin but I overdid the compression. Fun to mess with.

Authentic is the word! Nice!

I don't know if you were trying for a particular "room" sound but this sounds like a very convincing large, wood rehearsal room to my old ears! Nice playing and writing! -Perry-

DanRad...you indeed know "What is Hip"! Awesome. -Perry-

Thanks mgf!

Thanks for clarifying, Andrew! The SM instruments are all about real time control for me. I use a BC3a for breath control, in addition to velocity, pitch wheel, mod wheel & after touch to play in parts in real time. I will (very) often do mul…

Great sound & playing Kobi! Very convincing!

That does look cool, Mike! Maybe they can license it to Fatar or some other manufacturer. I think the Trombone is the SM Trombone. I saw a glimpse of the icon for it on one of the computer screens. I'm wondering if it matters where your fingers…

For those of us using a keyboard & breath controller, it could possibly be implemented like the "growl" feature and then be routed to after touch. You could probably get away with just a few stretched samples but I agree, it would be best to sam…

Nicely done! How did you play the parts? Step sequenced, wind controller or what? -Perry-

Great stuff Kobi! The rest of the band sounds excellent as well. My wife plays saxes, clarinet & flute. I bought her an Akai 4000S EWI but she has a tough time with the octave rollers. I should give it a try myself! Having been a trumpet pl…

Kobir wrote: Sounds great musically, like all your demos, but I find the trumpet too bright and harsh without filtering the high frequencies. I used Voxengo Curve EQ on the trumpet when the melody starts. I forgot to enable it on the opening t…

One of the things I tend to do is apply sometimes "drastic" external EQ to achieve a desired sound. The onboard tools like formant and resonance are pretty effective too. I think you have a great idea in having a preset sharing spot on this forum.…

I think this is one of the most "civil" forums I visit. The perfect place for "abstract thought" -Perry-

That's an interesting idea...Count me in for anything that improves the playability of these instruments. Their "playability" as it stands is the best that's out there for me. I don't know if SM has the time & resources to develop something li…

I just added a couple tracks made with a BC3...is that alright? -Perry-

I've got to try some ensemble stuff...that was groovin'. 8-) -Perry-

Thanks Kobir!
