Mr. Sax and Trumpet together

edited December 2008 in General Questions
Will the stand alone player allow both Trumpet and sax to be loaded at the same time?

Can they be played one at a time and or separately?

Thank you

  • Hi bobhunt,

we recommend using Mr. Sax in the 88,2 kHz mode for the optimal sound quality (dictated by some particular features of the applied technology). However, playing Mr. Sax at 44,1 kHz still provides very satisfactorily results - hence both instruments (The Trumpet and Mr. Sax) can be loaded to one standalone Kontakt instance (either a sampler or a Player). In this case you can play both at the same time - controlling the instruments via the same MIDI channel or when both are in the omni mode - or individually, setting each instrument to a different MIDI port or channel.

(Provided that you are using an up-to-date computer system)

    Thank you Peter.

So if I understand you right the standalone player would require changing the channel by typing in the channel change in the stand alone player

What is the best package to do layers and single instruments? Maybe another way of asking this is to tell you what do with hardware.

Now I have 3 VL70m synths that are controlled with a Synthophone. I set up the patches like this:

    VL70m 1 VL70m2 VL70m3

    #1 sax blank blank

    #2 sax trumpet trombone

    #3 trumpet blank blank

I would like to do solo voices and layers like above. I use a midi mouse foot controller to switch patches or it can be done on the instrument. All are on the same channel.

    Thanks again
