Transposing Mr. Sax T. ?

It was already discussed how Mr. Sax T. can only be tuned (within approximately +/- 1 semitone) by acting on the Mast. Tune window on the instrument GUI.

Conversely, Kontakt tune knobs (the Master Tune and the one above the PAN slider) must be set to 440 Hz and “0”respectively. This is clearly reported in the Short Manual.

It was also clarified that transposing the instrument outside its predefined playing range is not feasible.

Some users, particularly windcontroller players, in order to play in a more convenient key, might be tempted to use the following approach to note transposition: Instrument Options -> Instrument -> MIDI Transpose...

However, in the context of the unique sound engine of Mr. Sax T., Kontakt does not effect simple note transposition, hence this approach will not properly work, and the sound will be distorted.

At present, the only recommended approach is either to transpose at the midi device (keyboard or windcontroller) or at the sequencer level.

If transposition at the instrument level will be regarded as essential by the users, it will certainly be implemented in the next update.

Hi, it would be nice if in the update Midi transposition was available at the instrument level (Mr sax etc). I play a WX7 (I think with some controllers its not a problem) and with my controller set to Bb or Eb I have to use the octave key before most notes sound.

It is playable using 3 octave keys, but it is also awkward. My C has a low and a high C so thats not a problem, but I mainly play in EB or Bb.

    Regards Pete.
