About the demos

edited April 2008 in General Questions
Hello,

I've listen to the demos which are really impressive.

I just bought Scarbee's Black Bass which also uses

Nils Liberg's script work. This helps to achieve convincing live bass parts without much editing.

I would like to know if this would be the case with

The Trumpet. I know that there must be some level of edititing, but the amount of editing is important to me.

I would like to "play" The Trumpet. Are the demos played live (or part of them)?

As for other K2 libraries, is it possible to load The Trumpet in Receptor with K2 running?

Thanks for this interesting new product.

    Morphbay,

The instruments we designed are primarily conceived for real time use. You need an expression pedal (or a breath controller) linked to CC11, a pitchwheel, and a modwheel. Other mappable physical midi controllers allow to fully exploit the expressiveness of the instrument.

Roberto's demo has been played in real time. Other demos required some editing. But you will certainly find most exciting to play The Trumpet as a real instrument, perhaps on the stage :)

    Hello morphbay,

I'm glad you enjoy Scarbee Black Bass. It's fun that someone noticed that I have been involed in the development of both of these instruments. :)

To answer your question it's exactly like Giorgio said. Live playability has been a main focus during the development of this library so I don't think you will be disappointed. If you have the primary three controllers - expression pedal/breath controller, pitchwheel, and modwheel - you have real-time control over the most important parameters of the instruments.

    Regards,

    Nils

    Thanks for the answers :D

Today is my birthday (not kidding).

I shouldn't be working today but reading the news

about Sample Modeling made me check those

demos ...and now Im "playing" with this little

gem. Great stuff, and easy playability. 8-)

    (checked with FV5 and BC3)

Hope that you'll expand your library soon...

    Thanks again
