Mr Sax T - BC - Vibrato

edited December 2008 in General Questions
I've installed it and am up and running with Mr Sax T. It sounds terrific especially when coupled with a breath controller. I have one issue. It seems that vibrato (CC#1) only works in keyboard mode and has no effect in either BC or wind controller modes. Is that normal?

I'm using it in plugin mode on a Mac in Protools.

Thanks,

Busch.

    Thanks,

    Busch.

I was about to post and say I was one of the first to buy (got the package trumpet/sax), but I note that you and another at least beat me LOL.

Not sure yet if it will work with vista, may have to get XP.

    Regards Pete.
  • Busch,

BC mode allows to perform a customized vibrato using breath pressure oscillations only. In this mode, CC1 affects the ratio pitch/dynamics, thus allowing to get optimal vibrato vs. tremolo effect. If a conventional, CC1(intensity) - CC19 (frequency) controlled vibrato is otherwise desired, this can be easily obtained by switching the instrument to KB (Keyboard) mode. In this latter case, the BC will control the dynamics only.

Hi Stefano. Beautiful work on the Tenor! My wife got me an early Christmas present! The dynamics sound great with a breath controller. I've tried using BC for adding vibrato and it sounds very natural but I'm so used to using the mod wheel to control vibrato... Would it be possible to implement mod wheel vibrato in breath controller mode? Perhaps in a future update? I hope the rest of the sax family is coming! This is wonderful stuff. :D

Using my WX-5 Wind Controller vibrato from the read (pitch bend) sounds very realistic and responds wonderfully. What a great product. I can't wait for Mr. S (Soprano).

I'll admit I'm getting used to BC vibrato...as I said, it does sound very convincing! So, if all the saxes are eventually created, will they all be named accordingly? Mr. B for baritone, Mr. A for alto, Mr. T for tenor and Mr. S for soprano. The B.A.T.S. collection! :D
