Newbie question: Risky buying a large bundle?
I plan to buy the Akai EWI 5000 and primarily use SM instruments. I am a former sax player, and have some experience with Yamaha synths(keyboard, not wind controller).
I consider buying the complete woodwind bundle. Is that risky? I know a little MIDI, but prefer presets to tweaking voices. I can save a lot of money buying the bundle, but it would be a waste if using the instruments is very complicated. I don't have a lot of time to use on complicated MIDI setup, and primarily want to play "out of the box".

If you are not interested in doing tweaking and prefer playing out of the box, I recommend you start with just the internal EWI 5000 instruments for a few weeks and if that goes well buy one SM product of the instrument you are most interested in playing. All SM instruments work well with EWI out of box if your music setup is good, but you need to play your EWI differently for each one to get it to sound really good. Once you mastered the EWI keys and one SM instrument , buying a bundle would make sense to me.
