I love the composition and the trumpet sound(s),

I don't like the "artificial" background. But this of course is just personal taste.

    Fair enough :-)

I have added some breathing to the trumpet sound. A lot of work, hope next version has some breathing included so you can make that dusty jazz sound :-)

A happy tune with trumpet, tuba and clarinet :-)

    Renegade,

Sry, i missed this post when it came out. I like where you are going with the trumpet on this (nice composition BTW). I do find the trumpet a bit too breathy [just a little] but that is also a matter of taste or subjective. There is also a lot of other gritty things going on behind the trumpet so i find it difficult to say for sure. Hearing the sound naked by itself or with just piano etc would be interesting. Being a trumpet player myself i like my trumpet sound to have some breathy texture - like a sax needs a bit of growl or rasp.

How you achieved that breathiness (what settings on the SM trumpet) would be interesting to know. And do you use a wind controller or keyboard? I have been working on my SM trumpet sound lately with a wind controller and i will post some examples soon. I am always going for a more mellow, less brassy sound.

Really liked your other stuff on SoundCloud too!
