New system on order- an warnings?
I have ordered a new system, going to Windows10, w 16 gig ram, SSD, 7 core etc. Should have more capacity, speed, etc. than existing system.
Anything I should know about migrating the system over? Potentential re-install problems, glitches, etc? Do I have to re-install everything from scratch, or can I just create similar-named directories and transfer files via flash drive?

If completly new and clean system then:
For files, like your projects from DAW, Notations etc.. you can copy files from your safe drive as you have it as before.
But you should install all software you want use, and maybe it should be done firstly then copy files (because if you used C:\User\Documents\Software\YourProjects, after installation software can be this folder replaced with installation). Don't copy software from old HDD. If you save that files (installed software) it is not good practice. It is good keep only installation (if you buy download only soft.) software files. This is because, some softwares are spreaded on HDD, somethings is under C:\User\Documents etc.. and something on C:\ProgramFiles\.. and main or core of the software can be on

I am sorry for the late answer, but in swam website you must create account in customer portal and then register your product / products. After that, you can download any SWAM instrument you bought.
For Kontakt, I am sorry I can't help because I don't own Kontakt and any instrument with it.
