edited February 2014 in User demos
A little test I did with contrabassoon and bass clarinet….

Mix is not done yet but even like this…. I really love this contrabassoon….. :)

    Sylvain,

Very nice; I think it could turn into an ear-worm for me!

I'd like to try this with our band (not having much material suitable for contrabassoon) but I can't find any music for your version. There are a number of Hurdy Gurdy waltzes, including one by Tchaikovsky, but none of them sound like yours. Would you comment on the source for this tune?

    Thanks,

    Super !

I do like these bass reeds, the performance and the composition.

In the "orchestra" part I see what you mean by "mix not ready". Some finetuning might provide an even better result.

Please let us hear the final version :) .

Hi Thx for your feedbacks :)

Michael, I will try to practice on the points you show me… never thought about setting fine-tuning on any way….

Dick…. If you can't find it anywhere that's a bit normal… and hope you won't find it :p eheheh

My own composition :) just made it last week :) so you are the first to hear it yet… :)

    Best Regards.

    Sylvain,

I'm sorry to have slighted you, not realizing you had composed this nice piece. Are you sure you didn't get it from Tchaikovsky or someone like that? :)

    eheh no problem :)

mmmmmm let me think … mmm yes i'm sure of course… i spent 1 full day to compose this one starting only from an "image" (i'm doing it for a french music for kids… the scene is a witch cooking a potion) and i was searching to do something in Danny Elfman mood … the usual music i listen all the time are soundtracks …. and to be honest… i know a few thing of Tchaikovsky but really … a few :) (usual things you listen when u are child and u learn classic piano) … I was disgusted of classical music cause of hard piano teachers…. and soundtracks linked me back with orchestral music.

but now if u think about something sounding like it, i'll be glad to hear it…

    Best regards.

    Sylvain,

I was only joking about getting it from someone else, just because it is so well done. It's totally original sounding and perfect for the contrabassoon and bass clarinet. I think the kids will like it a lot.
