Problem in Logic
Hello,
I just got The trumpet and Trombon and they works fine in Kontakt but now when I open the instruments in Logic the Dinamics knob gradually goes in a decay from 100 to 0 by itself. Any ideas how to fix this?
Also I notice that with the Trumpet there is a cc13 blinking all the time but no the trombone. Is that normal?

It would be nice if The Trumpet and Trombones were updated to reflect a migration to the SWAM system. Help?
if you experience problems loading Kontakt in Logic, why don´t you contact the technical support (i.e. Native Instruments)? Even if the problem does not occur with other instruments, the reason could be still Logic when Kontakt is hosting more demanding instruments with complex scripting. The crucial question is: does the stand alone version of Kontakt crash as well?.. If not, I´m afraid it must be a Logic vs. Kontakt issue; NI could help for sure.
CC13:
Although you do not explain where that "CC13 blinking" occur (Automation?) - some MIDI activities can be generated by the script for some internal processing; this is completely normal.
Expression Knob:
If any of the controller knobs changes its position, there is no doubt that some MIDI data is coming from the host or "outside world". The knobs reflect exactly the incoming MIDI, so some of your devices sends some MIDI CC.

Hi Peter thanks for your reply. I should probably point out that while I am able to access all the other instruments available while using Logic in 64 bit and Kontakt 5, the 32 bit bridge in Logic allows me access to the main trumpet but only by using Kontakt 2.
Is the main trumpet not 64 bit compatible or did I miss an update or something?

I see your point. Please let me explain:
our Kontakt-based instruments are nki files, which can be opened in the appropriate versions of Kontakt only. These nki files "do not know" 64 or 32 bit. They are even the same files for Mac and PC. They only "know" Kontakt and it does not matter on which system Kontakt is running (of course it must be a system-compatible version). In other words: our instruments "see" only the Kontakt software, not the system, and as soon as Kontakt is working properly, our instruments will do as well. Why your Logic does not "see" the 32 bit version of Kontakt 5, or why does it crash, I cannot say... This is definitely a question for the Native Instruments support (unless... see below :-)). But why don´t you use K5 in 64 bit mode for the trumpet? You can load all our instruments without any problems - as said, they are running on any version of Kontakt (between 3.5 and 5, Horns: between 4 and 5, both 32 and 64 bit).
By the way - are you sure you are using the latest versions? If in doubt, please have a look inside the Service Center, where the update files are available for download for free (for example - the current trumpet version is 2.52). Maybe Logic wants to open K2 only, because you have a very, very old version of The Trumpet?.. :-)

Hi again, Peter,
Kontakt 2 is not even listed in my Logic software's AU manager list (which would allow me to 'un-check' ...thereby deactivating K2 in Logic 9...), prompting me to wonder whether or not I need to completely uninstall K2 for the main trumpet to default to Kontakt 5 in Logic 64 bit mode. The problem I have with doing that is the fear of losing the main instrument altogether. I only use NI when using your product, 'The Trumpet.'
My questions, then are with Logic:
1. Why does Kontakt 2 not show up in my AU Manager?;
2. Does Kontakt 2 need to be completely uninstalled so that Logic does not have access to use that plug-in (via automatic 32 bit bridge)?; and,
3. If I uninstall Kontakt 2, will I lose the main instrument or will the main instrument then become available by defaulting to Kontakt 5?
I believe I do have the latest update, but will re-investigate @ NI to double check.
