Problems with the trumpet.

edited September 2011 in General Questions
Hi there, I have the trumpet almost over 3 years ago, but recently I upgrade my computer and I am running on windows 7/ 64 bit and pro tools 9. I had to reinstall the trumpet software but many issues have popping up.

First> I can't get ride of the demo mode despite the service center application shows "all products activated"

Second>I can launch the plugin in a demo mode but every time I open an instance I get a message saying that the folder is not writable...I installed it in the same folder where the other plugins are and where I had it installed before. So I have to select manually another place.

Third>Once I have the plugin open, it freezes very often and even is making my computer crash.....not even trilian does it or EWQL virtual instruments with larger samples and libraries.....probably a bug???

I have to add also that I perform all the updates (2.5.2) and the last one for the SERVICE CENTER APP.

Well, I have contacted as well to Native Instruments to see what they say. I appreciate any advices. Thanks in advance. Best regards.

  • jaimeparedes,

we found out that you are still using Kontakt 2... Is it true?

This of course cannot work: Kontakt 2 does not work on 64 bit systems, and Trumpet 2.52 does not work in Kontakt 2 :-) Even the earlier versions of Kontakt 4 may cause problems on Windows 7.

Please update your Kontakt/Kontakt Player and do not hesitate to contact Native Instruments if you have any further Kontakt issues (as far as I know they got in touch with you already).

    All the best

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
