Help with strange Midi state
I have a problem that is unrelated to SM, but maybe somebody has seen this, or knows what I should do. I use GB+the SM cello on a Mac w/El Capitan. I leave GB+Cello always running, and just turn on/off the WX-5 wind controller to play (usually the Mac goes to sleep in between sessions, but not always).
Normally, that’s fine, but infrequently, when I start again it is in a strange state in which it responds to each played note with a delayed sequence of notes with long crescendos and diminuendos.
Turning off/on the Cello, GB, the WX-5, or even the Mac, doesn’t fix it, but unplugging/plugging the E-Mu Midi/USB adapter does fix it.
I don’t know of a way to send a Midi panic reset from the WX-5, or if there’s something I could do from the Mac?
Thanks for any advice or hints!

I don't use Mac or E-Mu adapters, so I can only guess really, but the fact that the issue resolves itself after unplug/plug of the EMu adapter seems likely to indicate that the MIDI adapter is not reliably handling the sleep cycles of the Mac.
Does the issue ever happen in the cases where the Mac has not gone to sleep? It was unclear if this comment was correlated to the problem occurrence or just a general comment on your setup.

You may need to contact EMu to see if there are any driver updates needed.
