Trombone solo & Piano (same song with Baritone/Alto Saxes)
Hi - Here is my first attempt with the trombone in a slow ballad I composed with just piano. (Tender Longings)
Any comments, suggestions, questions on any aspect etc are always welcome. I have listened to this too many times to be objective at this point.
I have also included the same piano piece with the Mr Baritone & Alto saxes taking the solos.

I am using a CME88 Midi keyboard with an expression pedal controller. However, I find I do have to go in and smooth out the midi expression data in my DAW program (which doesn't take too much time with a pencil tool in Digital Performer.) My expression pedal is not that smooth and does not cover the entire range for some reason although sometimes I like the raw results from the pedal. I also sometimes use a breath controller but not this time. This was my first try with the trombone so I was a bit anxious to just play it.
This new trombone is like pure budder. Very nice!

Here's a suggestion, since you were asking for some.
As I understand, the final piece is created by a combination of multi track recording with some editing of the solos to smooth out your initial expression pedal input of the solos followed by the playing it all with your midi/audio program for the final performance.
Why don't you expand your composition by having two (or even more) soloist play each song taking turns (or h trading fours) as well as overlapping during some measures much like live jazz players. It's much more work but having sax and trumpet soloists would make it even richer.
