excellent. Just as I expect from Samplemodeling.

How did he play it? With keyboard, with windcontroller, or with both? And it was all trombone, no trumpet?

OMG, Finally, I can stop downpitching my trumpet.

Thanks for the kind words on my Trombone demo... As you can hear, this instrument plays with (IMHO) unparalleled level of musical expression. I'm using (of all things) a DX7 keyboard with the original and quite elegant breath controller. I'm also using an expression pedal to instigate the "growl" effect. All these things can be remapped to other controllers to accommodate other playing styles. The melody line is the Trombone with a Harmon and Stem mute... very quirky and a nice old time effect. Pitch bend is used as well as the overlapping gliss effect at low velocities creating a "slide" from one pitch to the next. Addicting!

All of us Samplemodeling groupies will be very happy with this instrument. Once again, they have hit it out of the park!

Incredible! Hope the next challenge will be optimizing the CPU usage on The Trumpet, Mr Sax AB&T and this...

I don't believe they can nutotech since the Kontakt Player is not their technology, but NI's. So it would really be up to NI to optimise their engine further.

I think that Sample Modeling are doing the best they can to squash their ideas into the Kontakt framework, but hopefully soon they will have their OWN engine, which Giorgio has hinted at in other threads.

However in the meantime Kontakt 4.1 is due to be released soon, so we will see what NI have managed to do to improve things on their end.

One question for you though: I'm curious what your CPU and systems specs are?

This sounds wonderful! When will it be released?
