BC3A Compatibility Question

edited May 2008 in General Questions
OK, I am convinced as a brass player that to play The Trumpet well, I would want to use a breath controller. Seems that the Yamaha BC3A controller is what is the main thing on the market.

I still have an old DX7 (original version), which I think took a BC1 controller. My question here is:

Will a Yamaha BC3A controller work in the original DX7?

yes, I do it all the time... I was sueprised at how the dx7 handles well the bc3 midi data, better than the vl70 for example.

Excellent! And I was thinking about finally giving that old DX7 away. I may eventually go and get that MIDI Solutions BC controller converter box eventually, but in the meantime, save the nearly 200 dollars.

    Thanks for the info.
