You put the EWI to great use! I'm using a keyboard & breath controller and could use a few more limbs! :D Your music truly sounds like an authentic "lost" recording session. I bet the Alto & Bari are gonna be sweet!

zeppusclub, I'm speechless. I love your stuff.

I'm a jazz fan myself but haven't practiced my keys for a while since I got caught up with computer-based composition/production. Are there any live recordings in this track? Or is it all computer-based VSTi's etc.?

Please share your knowledge, I'm very keen to create some music like this - all my double basses sound crap, and the only piano I'm vaguely convinced by is the one by Pianoteq.

Obviously I'll need to practice a lot as well!

    Thanks,

    Very nice Yvan :)

And the idea to put the piano in mono and to pan it almost to the extrem right is good.

It sounds like an old recording

    valouz,

i use jamey aebersold practice tracks as back tracks, the recording of the aebersold is : piano extrem right, bass extrem left and drum in the center.

i'ts not usable like this as back tracks, so i use a vst stereo imager in wavlab to clamp the stereo field and replace bass and piano to a correct position, as they can be on original jazz session.

do you understand ? i'm better in french ...
