The Trumpet and "Real Sax"
This is an experiment where I play Autumn Leaves using “The Trumpet” with the EWI and a real alto sax ( with an alto sax…☺ ).

I did replace the file, because in the first one I forgot the panning

The blend is nice. Your trumpet emulation is superb. You seem to have a natural feel for the articulations and phrasing. I am struggling to get a better trumpet feel.
Do you have any tips on that? Do you think about anything different when you are playing The Trumpet versus Mr Sax.
Thank You

But actually the only tip I can give, is to listen and transcribe many trumpet solos. It is easier as transcribing sax solos anyway (usually less notes and piercing sound), and then your influences are not as obvious
But anyway, I think, you do underrate yourself quite a bit, because all I heard from you sounds great. I think we all have kind of the opinion that the solos of others are better as our own. This was said to me once, by a famous jazz musician, while I wanted to throw my sax away after having played a jazz solo...
You are to kind.
I do think that much like the patches in the Yamaha VL70m Turbo chip, the characteristics of each patch make them unique. So it will just take many hours of practice and listening.
One of the players I listened to last night was the young Chris Botti. He will probably be known as one of the greats some day if his head doesn't get bigger than his horn.

Valouz did very pertinently observe that I forgot to pan the sax and the trumpet  . So I upload a new version "with panning" It really does make a difference. Sorry about this

When i've listened to the first version (at my job place with small walkman headphone) i did not even notice that you have used mute at the begining...
Now the melodies are well separated and the message clear.
Let us listen to the following...
