Real Tenor Sax and "The" Trumpet

edited January 2009 in User demos
hi there,

this is a part of a kind of jazz lounge tune i made.

as i´m a sax player, the sax is real. i played it first and doubled the trumpet on top, what makes it for me much easier to have a natural brassy articulation. i just listen what i did on sax without thinking about and use the same articualtion for the trumpet and it blends perfect! even the solo was played on sax before, i doubled it with the trumpet part for part and removed the sax later. it worked very good - it´s easy to get any of the sax articulation in the trumpet as well, when you know, what you want.

hope, you enjoy...

    Hi Saxer,

I was always curious how does The Trumpet blend with another, real instrument. Now I know... :-)

    Wondefully realistic sound, indeed!

Thank you for this interesting example!

    Best

Saxer - Great music here - would not have know that was a sampled trumpet (And I play a real one)

You are also a fair keyboardist which really comes in handy for playing virtual instruments.

I just bought "the trumpet" myself and it is even better after playing it myself than I thought. And that is after I had already listened to most of the demos on here which are quite impressive before I got it.

All that said, this quality does not surprise me knowing Giorgio is involved as his Stradivari violin and Gofriller cello are also excellent. Can't say the trumpet is better, just different. Like comparing apples and oranges.

is the trumpet played real time with your wx? did you do some editing?

How do the Yamahas (WX5 and 7) compare to the AKAI EWI USB? Do the WX have more controllers of expression?

    Best,

I am trying somthing new. Listen , keep my mouth shut, listen again later, then comment.

I still really like it. Your trumpet emulation is superb too.
