Sample start... zero expression/bc

edited March 2009 in General Questions
Regardless of whether I'm using Mr Sax with a breath controller or Expression cc, as soon as I've activated the cc, the "Dynam" setting never goes back to zero. Lets assume I'm using a breath controller. When I don't blow into it, I don't want the instrument to sound. But it does if I have a key pressed. What I want is to be able to start with the key press, and then shape the note, including the note start, with the breath control. I understand this is probably a Kontakt limitation, but wonder if by using a silent sample at the bottom end of the dynamic range whether it would be possible to allow this to happen.

Developers... do you understand what I'm trying to say, and is there any reason this is not possible?

Me too i would like the same behavior as "The Trumpet" :)

As it's working like this for The Trumpet it's not a limitation of Kontakt...

I believe (if think i read it in an old post) that in the very first version of the Trumpet it was like this but now no sound until you put expression (with foot controller, BC or WC) even if a key is pressed.

Not a keyboard player, but surely if you set up in keyboard mode, rather than Breathcontroller mode and assigned the Breathcontroller to "Aftertouch" or whatever controls the aftertouch/dynamics of the keys after the initial attack, such as a expression wheel etc. Surely this is already possible?

    Echoecho,

I'm studying a solution for the next update,

but I can't promise because it's not easy to implement this feature without introduce a further latency.

    Thanks for your suggestion. :)
