Ok I so I'll try another one.
I put this together the last two nights using Loops , and PG Music's Real Band.
The horns were of the Sample Modeling variety used as VST's in Reaper as a host and the mixer.

Did you use your Synthophone to record the horns? If yes, how does it work out for you? I am experiencing kind of a restricted dynamics while using Mr. Sax and the Trumpet with the Synthophone, but I am a newbie with this wind controller.
I do use the Synthophone. I have to make sure the volume is up as high as possible and then I am more careful about maxing out the dynamics. I have had a tendency to overblow so that makes the narrow range tougher. I do not have near as much a problem with dynamics when using a hardware synth such as the VL70m.
Some of the restriction you are talking about might be overcome in the Synthophone settings.
Modulation all the way off
Breath at the default
Volume all the way up
Velocity at level 3--This setting is what should increase your range with Mr Sax. Use Windcontroller Mode 1
and cc5 to PT and P.T.C5 to 8
You may have to increase the volume with the slider in the Mr Sax panel too.
I think there is ever so subtle differences in the attack settings with Windcontroller 1 . With Breath Control as the mode there seems to be no change in the attack settings.
