TheTrumpet/Mr. TSax with reverb

edited January 2009 in General Questions
I have a question regarding adding effects to either The Trumpet or Mr TSax in the Kontakt player.

I assigned a nice convolution reverb to the auxiliary output resulting in excellent control of the reverb using the aux slider within the instrument GUI. Unfortunately when saving the resulting instrument, the output settings are not saved so I have to add the IR and adjust the reverb every time I load one instance of The Trumpet or Mr.TSax.

Is there a way of constantly saving the reverb settings so that I don´t have to readjust them all the time?

Thanks for your help and best regards

I´ll check when I´m home. I have SX 3 installed on my old powerbook, otherwise I use SX4. I´ll try to check with both.

Found the solution: You have to save the constellation as a Multi (.nkm-file) not as an instrument (.nki) as the output settings are only saved as multi. Easy and it works.

So far as I know you can do it only in standalone mode.

    Very Strange

So it looks to be a limitation of kompakt (renamed kontakt player) compared to Kontakt, i think.

    Hi Valouz,

tried it yesterday (with Cubase Sx4) and it is definitely a limitation of Kontakt 2 (the actual Kontakt player is based on Kontakt 2 as well). Kontakt 3 allows to insert IRs while being in plugin mode and Kontakt 2 doesn´t. There will be a new Kontakt player based on Kontakt 3 which will solve the problem.

    best regards
